About the Event
The Leopold’s Preserve Trail Ambassador Volunteer Program offers an opportunity for independent outdoor volunteering with a flexible schedule, making it an ideal role for those with busy lifestyles. To learn more about the program, visit: https://www.leopoldspreserve.com/trail-ambassador.
This event is a training session for new Trail Ambassador Volunteers. You must attend a training session before you can begin volunteering independently. You'll learn firsthand exactly what to look for on the trails and how to address minor maintenance needs.
Attire: all volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants to protect against thorns, insect bites, and poison ivy. Anyone who is dressed inappropriately (shorts, sandals, etc.) will not be allowed to volunteer. To keep yourself comfortable, we recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray.
Equipment: If you can, please bring a pair of garden clippers (pruners or similar). We also recommend a pair of thick work gloves to protect your hands while picking up debris.
