Interpretive
Signs

There are 35 interpretive sign panels in Leopold's Preserve that speak to the flora, fauna, geological features, and the historical significance of the property as it relates to the Civil War as well as to the many families who called this area of Prince William County their home and who are buried here.

We wish to thank following organizations for their assistance in researching and authoring many of the interpretive sign panels found in Leopold's Preserve:

  • Virginia Tech Conservation Management Institute

  • Virginia Native Plant Society

  • Bull Run Mountains Conservancy

  • Prince William County Archaeologist, Justin Patton

  • Buckland Preservation Society
